Ответ: Бесконечность.

Комментарий: У папуасов один цыпленок — одна тысяча, два цыпленка — две тысячи, а "цыпленок убежал в заросли и так и не вернулся" — бесконечность. По одной из версий, знак бесконечности — не что иное, как "закрытая" строчная омега, а вовсе не восьмерка на боку.
